We played football in a stadium that was a wreck, a disgrace at that time. The City finally made a drive to rebuild it in 2002. Taxes were raised to support it but also many of us alumni contributed about $100,000 to outfit it. Services cost money, regardless of who is buying them - including the government. I'm not saying there's never any waste. Taxes usually aren't increa...I agree with you! Taxes usually aren't increased by much - less than a dollar or so - but the results have definite benefits for the community as a whole.CathyTnoreply@blogger.com
