Has Katie Couric had a face lift? I just saw her for the first time in awhile and she suddenly has very arched eyebrows - on the outside edge. Didn't she used to have eyebrows that didn't have much arch at all? (OK, yes, I have a "thing" about eyebrows. I've been trying to get a nice arch to mine for years with a variety of tweezing/makeup options. Apparently all I really needed was a surgical procedure.)
That's usually a facelift look - the odd, permanently surprised look with the eyebrow arch in the wrong place. To top it off her forehead doesn't seem to move. Botox? Maybe this is just common knowledge and I'm the only one who hadn't noticed.
She's looking OLD on the evening news. Maybe that's intentional on their part to give her more gravity. I think part of that must be makeup because when we see pix of her elsewhere she seems her normal, perky self. But the eyebrow thing looks like the leftovers of a facelift.
The facelift look is so unattractive - far worse than a few wrinkles. Who wants to go through life looking forever surprised?

I was wondering the same thing when I watched a promo for the CBS News. She looked almost "Stepford"ish in a way that was kind of creepy. I'm sad to think that she might have felt some pressure to do that to her face. Can we not allow men and women to age gracefully anymore?
Apparently not. We all have to be permanently young. And looking surprised by it.
I have been thinking that she had some work done that resulted in her eyebrows, especially her left one, to be too archde. I was thinking that is why her hairdo now seeks to cover her left brow.-el
Why so nasty? She looks amazing and is one of the most successful journalists of our time. She is the epitome of aging gracefully!
Katie looks amazing! I'm an esthetician in the L.A. area, and I can tell when someone's had something done. Katie has not!! I know faces; her skin looks great. I see many girls who smoke, drink, and live hard who don't look anywhere near as good. It's all about positive living which Katie is obviously doing with the contributions she is making to our society. Be kind to yourself and to others.
I'm not being nasty about Katie... it really was a question... were they trying to make her look older on the evening news to increase her gravity. I notice they're doing her make up differently now and she looks much more normal. This was written some time ago, and if you look at news clips from that time you'll see she was being made up much differently than now.
I don't know if she has had surgery or not - again, a question. So, how do you get that arched look she has without surgery? In the older photo she has no eyebrow hair where her eyebrows now are. I'm not saying she HAS had work. I'm asking how you get that arched look without surgery. In my little town no one has been able to tell me and I really just want the answer.
From a male perspective, I think Katie looks great. Women are extremely critical of each other and that is unfortunate. We all evolve and grow physically and professionally and Katie has obviously blossomed, which is evident in her smile.
I think Katie looks great too... esp. in this later photo of her that was from an event or something. I think she looks great on the news now, too. But when this was written --- quite some time ago now --- I think the higher ups at CBS were making her up to look older so she seemed more "serious." I think now they realize that's not necessary.
